I spent my last few days in New England with Ann, her neighbors on the Cape, Lynn and his new dog, and a brief visit with Jeremy. This scene on a windy morning on Pleasant Bay will be familiar to many of you.
Yesterday we found more wind and water, on Mill Pond in Brewster, viewed from the Punkhorn Parklands - a large wilderness area less than 10 miles away that none of us knew of until now. Amazing, and wonderful.
After sharing a couple years' news over coffee this morning with Rae's cousin Jeremy in Providence I drove to a tiny recording studio in Beacon, NY, upriver from New York City, where a friend I'll call Singer was recording a political campaign song with a group of other local activists. I became part of the chorus and with luck will be able to hear it in a commercial someday. It was a barrel of fun. Here's a moment toward the end of the session, when the two very amused cinematographers were filming a few of our group who were playing an odd assortment of instruments - a trumpet, some tambourines, and I'm not sure what else.
