Today brought another regretful farewell as I left Sigrid and Susan's home and moved into Alex and (the other) Sigrid's. There are only two, you know.
The next two weeks will be largely about fixing up their fixer-upper house in the Willow Glen neighborhood of San Jose so they can move in. We made a good start today with two trips to Lowe's for drywall, lumber, concrete, patching plaster, hardware, tools, and other goodies. We even did a bit of work on the house.
We then walked to a street festival in the neighborhood and had dinner at Sweet Mango, a local Burmese restaurant that recently opened.
